Key takeaways

  • Moz pricing in 2026 has four Moz Pro plans: Starter at $49, Standard at $99, Medium at $179, and Large at $299 a month. Annual billing takes 20 percent off.
  • Tracked keywords are low: 300 on Standard, 1,500 on Medium, 3,000 on Large, with weekly updates by default.
  • The free options are generous: MozBar, a free Moz account with limited queries, and the Learn SEO library.
  • Moz Pro is worth it for beginners and small sites that value simplicity. Agencies usually outgrow the keyword limits by the second client.

Moz pricing has stayed simpler than its rivals: four plans, one discount, no seat fees on most tiers. The catch is what the plans include. Tracked keywords and crawl limits are lower than Semrush, Ahrefs, or SE Ranking at the same price. This guide lists every Moz Pro plan as of September 16, 2026, the limits that matter, the free options, and how to decide if it is worth it.

We build Zutrix, a rank tracking and SEO platform that competes with Moz on tracking and price. We keep our pricing to one marked section. For comparisons, see Ahrefs vs Moz and Moz vs Semrush.

What each Moz Pro plan includes

Starter, $49 a month

One campaign, a small keyword tracking allowance, and limited queries in Keyword Explorer and Link Explorer. Enough for one site and one person learning SEO. Not enough for client work.

Standard, $99 a month

Three campaigns, 300 tracked keywords, more queries, and full Site Crawl. This is the plan most small businesses and freelancers buy. Three campaigns means three sites, and 300 keywords across them means about 100 each. Rankings update weekly by default. You can trigger a manual update, but not on a daily schedule without moving up a tier or using a separate tracker.

Medium, $179 a month

Ten campaigns, 1,500 tracked keywords, multiple users, and higher query limits. This is where Moz becomes an agency tool, and where its cost per keyword starts to look high against dedicated trackers.

Large, $299 a month

Twenty-five campaigns, 3,000 tracked keywords, more seats, and the highest limits. At this price, Semrush Pro+ and SE Ranking Growth track more keywords daily, so Large is a hard sell outside teams that are committed to Moz.

Moz Local and the Moz API

Moz Local pricing is per location, starting in the low tens of dollars a month per business, and it manages listings, reviews, and local rankings. It is separate from Moz Pro. The Moz API, which powers Domain Authority in other tools, is sold on its own with a free tier for light use and paid tiers above that. Neither is included in a Pro plan. If you manage listings for several locations, price Moz Local separately and compare it with Google Business Profile, which is free for the basics.

Moz free options

  • Free Moz account: a limited number of Keyword Explorer and Link Explorer queries each month.
  • MozBar: a free Chrome extension that shows Domain Authority and Page Authority on any page and in search results.
  • Free Moz Pro trial: full access to a paid plan for a limited time, card required.
  • Learn SEO: the Beginner's Guide to SEO and hundreds of articles, all free.

Moz Pro pricing against the alternatives

Moz cost looks low until you divide it by what you track. Moz Standard at $99 for 300 keywords is 33 cents per keyword per month. Ahrefs Lite at $129 for 750 keywords is 17 cents. SE Ranking Core at $129 for 2,000 keywords is 6.5 cents. Zutrix Pro at $89 for 1,000 daily keywords is 8.9 cents. On that measure Moz is the most expensive tracker of the four.

AhrefsLite$12975017 centsVaries
SemrushSEO$13950028 centsDaily

ZutrixPro$891,0008.9 centsDaily

Where Moz Pro pricing does hold up is the low end. Starter at $49 is cheaper than any Semrush plan and close to Ahrefs Starter at $29, and it includes rank tracking, which Ahrefs Starter does not. For one small site, that is a fair deal. The Moz free trial lets you confirm the limits fit before you pay.

Is Moz Pro worth it?

For a beginner or a small business owner, yes. The interface explains itself, the guides are the best in the industry, and $49 to $99 a month buys enough data for one site. For an agency, usually not. Standard tracks 300 keywords, which is 33 cents per keyword per month, and updates weekly. Dedicated trackers charge under 10 cents with daily updates. Link Explorer is also smaller than Ahrefs or Semrush.

  • You are learning SEO or run one site.
  • Your clients ask for Domain Authority by name.
  • Weekly ranking updates are enough for you.
  • You track fewer than 300 keywords.
  • You value clear explanations over raw data volume.

Three or more ticks and Moz Standard is a sensible buy. Fewer, and you want either a bigger suite or a cheaper tracker. Our Moz alternatives guide covers both directions.

How to pay less for Moz

  1. 1

    Use the free tools first

MozBar and the free account cover DA checks and occasional keyword lookups.

  2. 2

    Pay annually

Twenty percent off is one of the better discounts among SEO tools.

  3. 3

    Stay on Standard

Move keyword tracking to a dedicated tool instead of upgrading to Medium for keywords.

  4. 4

Buy Moz Local only for locations you manage

It is priced per business, so add locations as clients sign.

  5. 5

Run the trial on your busiest week

You will hit the query and keyword limits quickly if they are going to be a problem.

Do
  • +Compare cost per tracked keyword, not plan price.
  • +Check whether weekly rank updates fit your reporting.
  • +Keep MozBar after cancelling if clients want DA.
Don't
  • xUpgrade to Medium or Large for keyword tracking alone.
  • xExpect Link Explorer to match Ahrefs.
  • xAssume Moz Local is included in Moz Pro.
